Codex was designed based on the idea that computers can be made more intuitive and easier to use with multiple lines of braille. With that in mind, Codex delivers a user experience unlike any other.
With 4 lines of 32 braille characters, Codex offers a total of 128 characters, helping you read faster and with less interruption. Our lines of braille are optimally spaced so that you can easily identify the braille cursor and intuitively move from one line to the next.
Navigating the internal applications and content from your computer feels intuitive and natural. Use the navigation keys to advance by one line or all four lines, use first letter navigation to jump directly to an item in a list, and use hotkeys to launch applications or perform actions.
Using an integrated 10-point touchpad, Codex supports cursor routing with a double-tap gesture without having to remove any other fingers from the braille surface.
Codex was designed from the beginning to work with screen readers and currently supports JAWS. Support for additional screen readers is coming soon.
